What My Services Include:

• Meet regularly with the student and family to discuss college planning
    Four to six times a year during 10th grade,
    Eight to ten times in 11th grade
    As often as needed during 12th grade)

• Serve as a mentor to the young people I work with to encourage them to make intelligent choices

• Be available via phone, e-mail or fax for assistance as needed

• Help students plan for their educational testing (ACT/SAT/SATII)

• Generate a list of recommended colleges with sufficient information for comparison purposes, including contact information

• Offer College Tours at an additional cost

No Fee - Families who qualify for Free Lunch Program
$100 per academic year - Other Low Income families
$200 per academic year - All Other Families, grades 9th - 12th

          
  No student will be denied service due to his or her inability to pay fees.

• Provide information and resources about college “fit” and how to evaluate schools

• Offer guidance and coaching about presenting your best self to colleges via your application, campus visits and/or interviews

• Review college applications and essays

• Offer information about scholarships and financial aid

• Assist with self advocacy skills that will allow the student to access appropriate support services in college

• Help the student process information and choices related to college admission and provide
information about the transition to college.

As your college counselor, my goal is to assist you in the process of selecting colleges and applying to colleges. This includes acting as a guide from discussing high school plans in relationship to college goals all the way through selecting the college to attend.
